Mosha has been in the beauty and fashion industry for over two decades. Starting like more other makeup artists Mosha worked at Barney's in Beverly Hills as an international artist for Shu Uemura later working for such brands as Cle de Peau where she was able to gain access to top celebs like Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez and Cher as her clients at Barney's.

From there Mosha kept in touch with her artistry working for various fashion houses then in LA, CA but found there was a need for agents to represent makeup and hair and stylists from an artist view point.  So from there Mosha transitioned and began working her way to the top of the agent world.  Learning the ropes and helping her fellow artist negotiate rates, book tours, garner branding deals.  Mosha was and is a trusted friend and confident when it comes to her fellow artists but also making sure the artist maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.  Respect in this industry is paramount.

Mosha Katani discovered her calling for makeup artistry at a young age.  She loved playing in her mom's or sister's makeup.  The whole family liked getting glammed and dressed up for events and parties.  It's the Persian-American way!

Mosha was initially introduced to sormeh, a sooty black powder by her mother when she was just around 12 years old.

Being a child of 80's pop culture Mosha's go to product was always black eyeliner and therefore the sormeh her mom showed her.

In 2004 Mosha launched her sormeh collection of sooty kohl powders and celebs like Angelina Jolie and Naomi Campbell are among Sormeh’s fans to try it.

Currently 6 shades of loose kohl powders made with bamboo and long lasting!  The sormeh kohl liners are used with a damp brush to create a soft paste that will glide on smoothly for a winged out liner or darkening the water line.  You can even smudge the colors out and mix them to create new shades.  Discover the colors in the SHOP tab of this site!
